I work for a school system and GAFE (Google Apps for Education) is FREE with unlimited cloud storage for staff AND students. No reason NOT to
    use it! :-)

GAFE. Google scraped all our data to build its AI.

In all fairness, they provide a great educational system with thwir workplaces and Chromebooks. My daughter went from a school with Google/Chromebooks to a school that uses iPads and a third-party system,
and it's nowhere near as nice - not to mention kids iMessage all day at school, despite a ban on "text messages" during school.

I'm from California, born and raised, but planning on retiring to
England. My wife is English, she has lots of family out there. We've
been checking out little villages where your neighbors know you, the pub
is the social center of the village, and you have a high street and a
transit system so we don't have to drive as we get older.

i've lived in areas like this. it's not really great.
don't know what you mean by 'high street', though.

    It depends.

I think living in a village with 200 population tops (in the most active season) is nice, the only thing you are losing is services - stuff like cinemas and the like - but if you don't need to deal with a homeowner association, that alone is a big win in my book.

I mean, I used to live in a condo when I was a kid and I always woke up cold in the mornings because the community could not agree on a schedule to turn the house heating on and off. Now I can burn as much wood in the fireplace as I like or as much oil as I can afford.

When the village is small enough you don't have to deal with many people unless you really need it. I know the name of all the horses in the area but I only know the name of the 5 neighbors who reside here the whole year.

i dont like living in a little area where everyone knows eachother.
people are dicks and usually hillbilly types like those environments.

i lived in a small town and everything closed early. the only good food was
at the bowling alley. the police were predatory on everyone about speeding
    or whatever.

i'm in a small city now and there's nothing good here so people go to the nearby larger city.
